Ingredients
Scaled for your household (4 portions) · original serves 4
- Ground Turkey1 lb
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
- Salt½ tsp
- Black Pepper¼ tsp
Method
- 1
In a roomy mixing bowl, gently combine1 pound ground turkey, 1 to 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt,; then 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix just until combined—avoid overworking the meat to keep burgers tender.
- 2
At this stage, divide mixture into 4 patties, about ¼–½ inch thick. Press a shallow indent into the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.
- 3
Heat a large skillet or grill pan on medium-high heat, or preheat an outdoor grill to 400–450°F (204–232°C). Lightly oil the cooking surface to prevent sticking.
- 4
Cook burgers for about 5 minutes per side, flipping once, until browned; then cooked through.
- 5
Remove burgers from heat when the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest for about 5 minutes, allowing them to reach the safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 6
At this stage, serve warm with desired toppings.
