Place 4 boneless skinless chicken breast in a gallon-size resealable plastic bag. stir in 1/2 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, 2 teaspoons lemon pepper, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon dried oregano,; then ¼ teaspoon salt to the bag.

Seal the bag; then gently shake to coat the chicken evenly in the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.

Heat a heavy skillet on medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade; then discard the remaining marinade.

Place chicken breasts in the hot skillet; then cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, or until both sides are golden and the internal temperature reaches 165 ℉ (74℃).

At this stage, remove from the skillet and let rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
