Method

    Preheat the oven to 200°C conventional or 180°C fan-forced.

    Combine the grated onion, lamb mince, breadcrumbs, garlic, coriander, cumin, ground coriander, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne, salt and black pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands.

    Divide the mixture into 16 meatballs and arrange them on a large baking tray.

    Toss the sliced capsicums and red onion with the extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper, then scatter the vegetables around the meatballs.

    Lightly spray the meatballs with oil and bake for 15 minutes.

    Switch the oven to a high grill and cook for a further 5 minutes so the meatballs and vegetables pick up colour.

    Serve the meatballs and roasted vegetables as-is, in bowls, or in flatbreads with lettuce, tomato and yogurt or tahini if using.
